My name is Aaron, and I've been a guitarist and musician for more than 30 years. That lifelong passion for music eventually led me to the craft of luthiery and the creation of Spherian Toneworks.
Based on Australia's east coast, I design and handcraft custom electric guitars with a focus on extended-range instruments, particularly 7-string guitars. Every instrument is built one at a time with meticulous attention to detail, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design to create guitars that are inspiring to play, dependable on stage, and built to last.
Whenever possible, I choose locally sourced, sustainable Australian timbers. Australia produces some of the world's most beautiful and tonally unique hardwoods, and I believe they deserve to be showcased in instruments that are both visually striking and sonically exceptional. Supporting local suppliers and sustainable forestry is an important part of how I build.
As a player myself, I understand that a guitar is much more than wood and hardware, it's an extension of the musician. Every decision I make, from timber selection and neck profile to electronics and final setup, is guided by one goal: creating an instrument that feels effortless, sounds incredible, and inspires creativity every time it's picked up.
At Spherian Toneworks, I'm not interested in building hundreds of guitars. I'm interested in building the right guitar, crafted with care, built for the individual, and made to become a lifelong musical companion.
